The Oscars have announced that American singer and songwriter, Lady Gaga, will perform at the 2019 Oscars, set to take place on Sunday, 24 February 2019.
The prestigious annual award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles and has confirmed Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, popularly known by stage name Lady Gaga, as one of the performers for the 91stOscar Awards.
Lady Gaga will deliver an exclusive performance. The six-time Grammy award-winning music artist has also been nominated for five Grammy awards, which include Song of the Year and Record of the Year, for her hit song Shallow from the 2018 film, A Star Is Born.
She recently delivered a surprise live performance of her duet with American actor Bradly Cooper, titled Shallow, at her Enigma residency concert in Las Vegas on Saturday, 26 January 2019.
Lady Gaga takes on the lead role, playing the character of Ally in the critically acclaimed movie, A Star Is Born.The movie received seven nominations including Best Film, Best Leading Actor, Best Leading Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay at the 72nd British Academy Film Awards.
Jennifer Hudson was also announced as one of the performers for the 2019 Oscars. She is set to perform the Grammy-nominated song I’ll Fight.
